G.E.D.: High School Equivalency Credential

Many people that have not graduated for one reason or another have gone on to get their G.E.D. A G.E.D is the General Educational Development credential. The G.E.D is the same battery of tests across the nation and must score higher than 40 percent of graduating high school seniors.

The G.E.D. is available to you or anyone that is older than 16 years of age that can no longer attend a high school an opportunity to earn your high school equivalency diploma. To take the comprehensive G.E.D you must first do either a pre-test or you much answer a battery of questions. To take the G.E.D. exam you must have a valid passport, military ID, driver's license or some other national identification. There will be a testing fee and once you take the pre-test you can move on to take the regular test when it becomes available.
